A route is not a line on a map. It is a sequence of bets: road quality, weather, tolls, gossip, and whether the ostler remembers you.

We teach planners to score routes by recoverability, not just speed. If the fastest path has no fallback when the ford floods, it is not fast. It is fragile.

These principles underpin much of our transport work, including the tooling experiments the team keeps politely arguing about in the corridor.
